When the family is here, Christmas has begun

Just picked up my son at the airport for Christmas. For the first Christmas in 35 years, none of my kids is in school. All are employed (provided you can count a medical residency as employment — which it is).

I feel bad for all those fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, who may be unemployed at this time of year.
Also picked up an older gentleman from the hospital this PM, and found him a place to stay. For some, Christmas is a lonely time. Let’s remember the less fortunate. Merry Christmas.
